What this service does

If I was from... is an entertainment product. You upload photos of yourself, and our AI generates a stylized video imagining what you might look like if born in different countries. The results are artistic interpretations, not accurate representations of any ethnicity or culture.

Acceptable use

By using this service, you agree to:

• Only upload photos of yourself or photos you have explicit permission to use.
• Not upload photos of minors.
• Not use generated content to harass, defame, or misrepresent any individual or group.
• Not use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Payments and refunds

All payments are one-time and processed securely through Stripe. Because the AI generation process begins immediately after payment, we generally cannot offer refunds once processing has started. If something goes wrong on our end and your video is not delivered, contact us and we will make it right — either with a new video or a full refund.

Your content

You own the photos you upload and the video we generate for you. We do not claim any rights over your content. We store your files temporarily (up to 30 days) solely for delivery purposes, then delete them.

No guarantees

AI results vary. We cannot guarantee that every generated image or video will meet your expectations. The output depends on photo quality, lighting, and the inherent unpredictability of generative AI. The service is provided "as is."

Limitation of liability

If I was from... is an entertainment product. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
