What we collect

When you use If I was from..., we collect only what is necessary to deliver your video:

• The photos you upload (up to 3).
• Your email address (to send your download link).
• Your payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your card number).

How we use your data

Your photos are sent to third-party AI services (Grok, Replicate) solely to generate your video. Your email is used only to deliver your result and order confirmation. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

Data retention

We automatically delete your uploaded photos, generated images, and final video within 30 days of creation. After that, nothing is stored on our servers.

AI training

We do not use your photos or generated content to train any AI models. Your face is yours.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate If I was from...:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Supabase — file storage and database.
• Grok (xAI) — image generation.
• Replicate — image upscaling and video generation.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

Each service processes your data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data required for each service to perform its function.

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies or analytics. Stripe may set cookies necessary for payment processing.

Your rights

You can request immediate deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Since we auto-delete everything after 30 days, most data is already gone before you'd need to ask.
